Short pressing times for relatively long processing time
Ideally suited for veneer work
Easy to pour
By screwing on the glue pouring tap, you can dispense the 28-kg container cleanly and simply into the glue bottle or the glue roller.
No nasty odours
Formaldehyde-free D2 dispersion glue
Universal application
Excellent application behaviour in glue application machines and during manual glue application.
High adhesive quality
Hardened glued joints are viscoplastic. Reliable gluing of all veneer types. Good staining on veneers. Causes no discolouration.
Complies with stress group D2 in accordance with DIN/EN 204
When using highly absorbent material and low pressing force, a relatively large quantity of glue must be applied. The higher the pressing force, the smaller the required application quantities. With large-pore veneer, a thin layer of glue must be applied to prevent the glue from bleeding through. Glue bleed-through may result in colour changes during staining, as the pores in the veneer are already filled with glue, thereby preventing the stain from penetrating the surface. Due to the tannic acid of the wood, the impact of bare metal may result in blue discolouration, especially with oak. At a pressing temperature above +50°C, brown discolouration may occur with softwood veneers. Fresh splashes of glue can be removed with water. Stir glue thoroughly before application and always close container tightly after use. Protect from frost. The processing time and the setting time are highly dependent on the working conditions, e.g. the temperatures, moisture levels and absorption of the materials, application quantities and tensions in the material. The adhesive can be defined as formaldehyde-free insofar as no formaldehyde is used during production. However, extremely small quantities may occur during polymerisation due to secondary reactions. Würth glues may only be used for non-load-bearing applications.
The veneer adhesive is very well suited to veneer gluing on chipboard, wood core plywood and MDF panels. Surface gluing of laminated panels (HPL panels) on wood, chipboard and MDF panels. Surface bonding, doubling of engineered wood and surface coating of e.g. cabinets, interior doors, kitchen worktops, door frames, tables or corner benches. Complies with stress group D2 according to DIN/EN 204 for gluing indoors with occasional brief exposure to water flowing off or condensation water.
The base material must be free from dust and grease, as well as free from all kinds of dirt that could compromise bonding. The optimum wood moisture is between 8 and 12 %. Apply an even layer of glue on one side with a brush, spatula or glue roller. For more information, please refer to the technical data sheet.
