The Service Transit cable pipe consists of a high-density, tear-resistant plastic pipe containing an intumescent lining of graphite-based HENSOTHERM® 7 KS fabric that expands when heated to close cavities around cables and pipes in the event of a fire. In addition, a ceramic wool plug (Superwool® Plus Blanket 128 kg/m³, 25 mm) prevents cold smoke and gases from entering the pipe.
- Lightweight wall: Minimum thickness 100 mm, wooden or steel framework clad on both sides with at least two layers of 12.5 mm thick panels
- Solid wall: Minimum thickness 100 mm, made of autoclaved aerated concrete or concrete with a minimum density of 650 kg/m³
- Solid ceiling: Minimum thickness 150 mm, made of autoclaved aerated concrete or concrete with a minimum density of 650 kg/m³
The Service Transit cable pipe is an easy-to-install pre-assembled fire protection partition tested in accordance with EN 1366-3 to class EI180 (see ETA 22/0542 for details) to restore the fire resistance of non-load bearing partitions, solid walls and solid ceilings penetrated by cables and PVC electrical installation pipes. The Service Transit cable pipe can also be used as an interim solution in the construction phase or as an empty/reserve partition for later installations.
